Ashley County Medical Center announces Julie Bays, MSN, APRN, FNP-C as our newest provider at the Family Clinic of Ashley County. Julie began her nursing career in 2005 when she received her LPN certificate from UAM-CTC. She earned her Associate’s Degree from the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville in 2015. She went on to complete her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Arkansas – Fayetteville in 2019 and, just recently, received her Masters of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner Program at Arkansas State University in 2021.

Ashley County Medical Center’s Chief Executive Officer, Phillip Gilmore, says “We are excited to have Julie remain a part of our ACMC family. With her years of experience as an LPN and RN, she will continue to provide excellent care to our patients, alongside Dr. Mark Malloy, Dr. Ben Walsh, and Dr. Brad Walsh.”

Julie said she chose to continue her education because “I started at ACMC as an LPN in 2005 working in labor and delivery, pediatrics and on the floor. I worked for 3 years for the Arkansas Department of Health and have been with the Family Clinic of Ashley County (ACMC) since 2013. I have literally grown up in this hospital and am looking forward to changing roles once again to join the physicians at FCAC to continue the standard of providing quality healthcare to the residents of Ashley County. I have had tremendous support and encouragement from FCAC and ACMC staff over the years and am grateful for the opportunity to be able to serve the community that I call home.”

Outside of work, Julie enjoys hiking, backpacking and spending time with friends and family.
