The Speech-Language Pathologist at Ashley County Medical Center is dedicated to providing diagnostic and therapeutic services, patient/family counseling, and appropriate referrals as necessary to all inpatient, outpatient and home health patients exhibiting a speech, language, voice, fluency or swallowing disorders. We are able to provide services to Southeast Arkansas, including Ashley County, Bradley County, Drew County, Chicot County, and Union County. We are also able to provide contract therapy for public schools, developmental centers, and behavior centers.

Meet our Speech Pathologist
Ashley County Medical Center is proud to offer speech pathology as part of our long list of services. Our full time speech pathologist is Monica Richards. She is a native of Crossett, AR. Monica graduated from Crossett High School in 1998 and received the Bachelor's (2003) and Master's degree of Science in Speech Pathology from the University of Central Arkansas in Conway (UCA). In 2006, after her clinical fellowship year, she received a full licensure from the Arkansas Board of Speech Pathology and Audiology and American Speech-Language Hearing Association. Monica also holds a teaching certificate from the Arkansas Department of Education.
